Hi my name is Jamal Richardson and I'm a designer to the core. I started as a freelance designer in 2009 in Houston, Texas. Since then I have had a bountiful career in design. I specialized as a freelance graphic designer and web developer sense 2009. I have had the honor to work with several company's in the Houston area like Zone Wholesale and STEMscopedia. I first got into Graphic Design and Multimedia when I was in high school, I took three years of Graphic Arts classes and liked creating art with computers.
I have an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design and Multimedia from Westwood College. I have a passion for design and the graphic arts. My parents bought me a computer when I was 18, a friend lent me a copy of Photoshop CS1 and I have been doing it ever since picking up new skills along the way.

Work Experience

Graphic Designer/IT Tech at Zone Wholesale

Attend briefing sessions from account managers and understand the client requirements. Come up with innovative concepts and ideas to match client branding. Design logos, collaterals, newsletters and advertisements for the clients. Take photos of products and enhanced photo to be used in web sites and catalog (photo manipulation). Maintain and update website.

Graphic Designer at Lan Manuel Print House

Enhanced press photo to be used in web sites (photo manipulation). Created web sites and web based graphics for customer’s. Creating logos, post cards, flyers, posters and other print materials.

Graphic Designer at Duende Labs

Attend client meetings and understand their brand and promotion requirements. Come up with innovative concepts and get approval from the clients. Carry out detailed research and create design briefs for approval. Send out the completed designs to the clients for feedback.
